HOO's 23

Hi everyone.  Sorry I haven't been around much lately.  Been CRAZY around here again.
My daughter had to have all of her wisdom teeth pulled out last week and is still having problems with them.  Needless to say we have been to the dentist alot lately.  Between that, and going to see doctors and my husband had to make another trip out of town, I will sure be glad when things calm down again.  Well I didn't get all 4 of my Christmas cards done for September so I will try to make it up this month.  I did however get a few birthday cards done.  My sons birthday is today and I finally got his card done, hope he likes it.
Cartridges used:  Bloom, Sugar and Spice and George and Basic Shapes

I didn't like the eyes and nose on the owl so I made my own.
If you would like insturction for this card just send me an email or leave a comment and I will be happy to share them with you.

Spiderweb Picture Frame

I've been trying to get working on some of my holiday projects lately.  The holidays always seem to sneek up on me and I'm rushing to get everything done on time.  Here is the picture frame from the Happy Hauntings cartridge that I just finished.  My daughter I'm sure will find a picture for it.  Halloween is  her favorite holiday.

All of the layers are cut at 6".  Cut all of the pieces except the black spiderweb frame in a cereal box then covered the fronts and backs of the pieces with the yellow and black paper.  This really helped to make the frame sturdy. Then used foam squares around the sides and bottom of the frame to adhere the back on.  Don't forget if you make this to leave the top open so you can change your photo.

Santa Down The Chimney

I have another Christmas card that I worked on today.
This was pretty fun to make.  I got the idea from Simply Charmed Cricut cartridge, page 64.
The card is an A6 card cut at 9" x 6 1/4" in white cardstock.
The black paper is cut at 4 1/2" x 6 1/4".
The snowflake paper is cut at 4 1/4" x 6".
Santa and the chimney are cut at 4".
The corners are an EK Success punch.
For the white pieces I used Snow Writer (found at Michaels in the Christmas section).
Used Peachy Keen Christmas Character Face Assortment for Santas face.
Pop dotted the chimney and Santa's face and added the ho ho ho brad to finish.

Let it Snow - Snowman

Well I have another Christmas card.
I just love the Snow Friends cartridge and decided to make this cute little snowman.
Cartridges used:  Christmas Cheer, Snow Friends

The card is cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" in white cardstock.
The first blue layer is cut at 5 1/4" x 4".
The second blue layer is cut at 5" x 3 3/4".
The snow I cut out by hand.
Christmas Cheer:  The moon is cut out at 3 1/2" using the circle.  I added some chalks to it for dimension.
Snow Friends:  The snowman is the 1st one on the cartridge it and all of the accessories are cut at 4".  The scarf was ran thru the cuttlebug using the tiny bubbles folder. Added brads for the buttons.
Peachy Keen - Christmas Character Assortment stamps were used for the face and colored in with markers.

BOO

I worked on so many cards yesterday that I was dreaming of cards all night long.
Here is one that I worked on today.  I have another one planned out but didn't get to it today so maybe tomorrow.

Cartridge used: 3 Birds on Parade
Make the Cut
I decided to purchase Make the Cut, it is on sale right now, my warranty has expired on my Cricut and I have been watching videos on this so I decided to buy it.
I LOVE IT!!!  I have so many cartridges but I am really impressed with this software.  It is so easy to use and if I don't have something I am looking for on my cartridges I can cut it in Make the Cut.  If anyone is interested in buying this product let me know and I will get you the website that I bought it from.  They are also giving away SVG files when you buy from them.

The card is cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" in white cardstock.
The background paper is cut at 5 1/2" x 4 1/4".
The ghost is cut at 4" and is found on page 39.
The candy corn is cut at 1" and 1 1/2" for the inside of card.
I used the Martha Stewart Drippy Goo punch to make a 1" x 5 1/2" piece for the center of the card.  And the star is a rubber stamp.
