HOW TO MAKE YOUR CRICUT MAT STICKY...
I think most of us have heard about using Zig 2 way glue to make your mat sticky again but here is a new one that I have tried recently and it is much cheaper and lasts longer then the Zig pens.
Use equal parts of each of the following:
1. Aleene's Tack-It-Over & Over and
2. Water
Stir together and use a foam brush to brush it onto your mat. Let dry for about 20 minutes.
I used 1 tablespoon of each and put it in a container with a lid I have already done 6 mats and still have enough for probably at least 6 more. I didn't think 1 tablespoon would go very far but boy was I wrong. I just put the lid on it and have had this mixture in the container for about a month now and it still works great. So if you do make a little to much you can save it for later.
HOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN GLUE DOTS...
If you have purchased glue dots they can get a little expensive if you use the quite a bit.
Here is a cheaper way to make your own.
Save your sticker paper, glue dot paper, ups shipping slips, I've tried wax paper but it didn't work very well for me.
Use Aleene's Tack-It Over and Over Temporary Hold Glue and make dots on your above described paper. You can make the dots as big or as small as you want them. I have even made 3D dots. Let dry overnight, when dry gently set another piece of sticker paper over the top. Do not push down. This works great and this bottle of glue will last a very long time. I have made dozens of sticker pages and haven't even used 1/2 of the bottle yet. I use the glue dots for everything. Scrapbooking, Cards and even to hang my daughters posters and holiday decorations on the wall. I have not had any problem removing from the wall, no discoloration and no peeling paint off.
You can purchase this glue at Michaels, I'm sure other craft stores will have it. I am a big coupon fan when it comes to my crafts so I always print off a coupon before I go in I am sure after the coupon it wasn't more than 2 or 3 dollars.
DID YOU KNOW...
I am all about coupons when it comes to crafts.
In todays economy I think we could all use a little extra savings.
I never pay full price for any of my craft materials and tools.
Did you know that most of you chain craft stores have websites that you can sign up for.
In my area we have Michaels, JoAnns and Hobby Lobby.
Check out their websites and sign up.
Every week they will email you their new add and a coupon. Sometimes you will even get a little extra coupon for being a member of their website.
You can print this out as many times as you need it, before the coupon expires of course. They will only allow you to use one coupon per day but I usually take my daughter or my husband with me and we each purchase an item if there is something special that I am needing. If I am even just needing glue I still take a coupon. So print off a coupon and leave it in your purse or bilfold and you will be covered even in those times when you just stopped in to look.

Hi everyone,
Today I received an email from Liz asking me how to set your cricut paper size when you are using an 8 1/2 x 11 piece of paper on a 12 x 12 mat.
I thought I would share my answer with everyone just in case someone else may be wondering the same thing.
HOW TO CHANGE YOUR MAT SIZE...
First put your paper in the lower corner of your mat.
Next goto the arrow buttons on your cricut and move the blade to the edge of your paper.
Then you hit set paper size.
It will read 8 1/2 x 11 in the display when you are in the right spot. You can keep using the arrow buttons and set paper size until you have the blade where you want it.
Now you are ready to cut. You can use this same method for any size paper.
Great option to help save money. Thank you.
